Dear Mrs. Young, I have just not read about the death of your son last month. My son, too, was hit by a truck when he was just about the same age as your son. He and his sisters and I were crossing the street after coming back from the local swimming pool when he was struck. He received a fractured skull, and broken legs with trauma to them. He lived a number of years thereafter. But, nonetheless, I do know the sadness you feel and want to send my deepest condolences to you and your family.
