I really enjoyed working with Susan. She was my friend. I will forever appreciate her pleasant demeanor, support and being a team player. Her girls at home meant the world to her. I enjoyed Susan sharing news with her pride and joy with me. After, I left St. John's, I called Susan a few times to see how she was doing and offer encouragement. I knew she was fighting the cancer. Regardless, she turned the discussion around, asked how I was doing, encouraged me and gave me hope. I will miss my friend and coworker. Her kindness and ability to bring people together will always be an inspiration.

"Susie" was the only girl and the youngest child of three children in our family. I was the middle child. As a young girl she had waist length golden blonde hair worn almost always in a pony tail. She would complain about the weight of it tugging at her scalp. And those tangles... She always had friends and did very well in school. She was in the 'campfire girls' for several years where she earned many achievement awards. Later she became involved in Ballet and Tap Dancing, eventually performing on stage and becoming an instructor. (I should know because I was "encouraged" to take lessons too 'for my cultural experience', although I did not last as long) She was also a contestant in at least one beauty contest. "Susie" was also an excellent cook and was very family oriented. There are many more fond memories, but among my fondest was her love of the Holiday Season. To my kid sister I say with much love ... you will be missed but our memories of you will be cherished forever.
