Marilynn, my neighbor

Marilynn was my neighbor for over 20 years. I moved in the neighborhood 21 years ago and met Marilynn and we became fast friends. We would borrow food supplies from each other, exchange recipes, call each other when the power went out, complain, and comfort each other, exchange little Christmas gifts, and share many stories together about family and friends. One of the best stories I have of Marilynn is borrowing lemon juice in 2014. I had been to the store and forgot my lemon juice and was baking that day. I called her to see if she had any lemon juice and she said, "Of course, I have some, come on over and get it." I went over and she gave me the bottle of juice. Well, it had expired in 2007. I laughed so hard and told her the date and that I couldn't use it and she said, "Oh, that's not that old, you can use it, it won't hurt you!" Well, I'm still laughing and she finally is laughing by now too. I leave to go home and to the store. A few minutes later she shows up at my house with one of those little plastic lemons full of lemon juice. I thought, oh how nice! But, better check the date! Oh my! Expired 2009!!! We laughed about that for a long time! I will truly miss my neighbor, my friend, Marilynn. She was a very special lady who I will always remember.
