~The sun still rises~
The sun still rises though sometimes obscured by the darkest of clouds.
In the beginning we walk alone, but in the end we walk each other home.
I was there for my brother, I’ve been there for friends, and I’m now there for my Mother,
Life’s not always as it seems.
I’ve know the hardest part of life. The unknown things you can’t change or see,
Saying goodbye is the hardest thing there could ever be.
Trying not to cry as you say goodbye, you try to be strong but you can’t fix the wrong.
This is as far as you can go, from this point on; it’s the Lord walking their soul.
Perhaps, the hardest part is the battle in your mind to let them go?
They live forever in your heart and in your very soul,
Very big a part of whom you are, yet very distant, as the smallest star Obscured by the sun as it rises, yet…Right there, they always are.
The smile on their face, a song, a time, a place, something funny they said, or things they did,
Their laughter from the other room,
After they short sheeted your bed.
All these memories still fresh in your head, Are now the hugs of encouragement when you are sad.
By far they are some of the best memories that you’ve ever had.
Out of sight, but not out of mind, forever they are part of the next sunrise.
Less than random thoughts, Dedicated to Mom.
