Sherry Monroe

My deepest felt sympathies are with you on your loss. My name is Sherry and my husband I were missionaries in South Africa and Swaziland for 10 years. We have 3 adult daughters (that's what we tell everyone). What we don't often say is that we also had a beuatiful baby boy named Adam James Monroe, stillborn on November 20, 1980. We were not on the field when we "lost" him; We were in New Hampshire pastoring. It has been almost 28 years now. I can say that the pain lessens, but never totally goes away. In the beginning the pain and grief were unbearable, I didn't think I could handle it. In those early days, I had to rely on God minute, sometimes seconds at a time. I suppose I could go on. But let me say, I am changed because of it. And I thank God for carrying me through. If you want to email me, please feel free. I will understand.
