Donald Lee Deckard, 76, passed away Friday morning at St. John's Hospital. He was born on Sept. 14, 1934 to Riley and Ade Mae (Crossland) Deckard, of Springfield.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kenneth Deckard; and his three siblings, Louie Deckard, Leta and Bertha Arrison.

He is survived by his three children, Rickey McKellips, Donna Smith, and Brenda Shive; his brother, Frank Deckard; and many grand-children, nieces and nephews.

Donald spent his time in the trucking industry, driving for a local freight company.

He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday July 20, 2011 in Liberty Cemetery near Fellows Lake with Rev. Fred Royer officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
