Obituary for Paula Ann "Polly" Vinyard (Lohmeyer)

Paula Ann "Polly"  Vinyard (Lohmeyer)
Paula Ann “Polly” Vinyard died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday March 11, 2014 after a year’s illness. She was born September 26, 1930 to Paul and Sybil Lohmeyer in Springfield.

Paula attended Elfindale Academy and city schools, Drury and Ward-Belmont Colleges. She was a member of Tri Delta Sorority.

She was married to Robert Vinyard in 1950. Polly was a loving mother and active in Cub Scouts and Campfire Girls. A member of Immaculate Conception Church and Womens Auxilary and also attended a non-denominational home church group. Paula enjoyed singing with Sweet Adelines and church choir. She was a Daughter of the American Revolution.

Paula had a deep compassion for animals and helped rescue countless dogs and cats.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Robert Paul and her daughter, Kay Langsford. She is survived by her husband, Robert and her daughter, Jennifer Ann and a grandson Robby Langsford.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday March 17, 2014 in Hazelwood Cemetery with Dr. Rod Butterworth officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. No visitation is planned the casket will be closed at all times.
