Obituary for Opal Alice Carder (Volner)

Opal Alice  Carder (Volner)
Opal Alice Carder 93, Springfield, Missouri, was born April 22, 1920, in Texas County, Missouri. She departed this life on Friday, April 4, 2014, in Springfield.
She was married to Harry Carder on February 17, 1936, Harry and Opal were married 64 years before his death. Opal was a longtime resident of Springfield and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Johnny and James Carder, her brothers, Alfred, twin brothers Hervy and Harvey, her twin brother Orval and Jimmy. And by sisters Oma, Amm and Annabell.
She is survived by two children, Fred Carder and Lillian Smith, nine grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, thirty three great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild. And by two sisters, Cora and Faye.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2014 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel, 500 East Walnut Street, Springfield. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, in the funeral home.
