Obituary for Lindley August Roos
Lindley August Roos 92, Stockton, Missouri formerly of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016. in Seymour, Missouri. He was born February 20, 1924, in Joplin, Missouri to Guy August and Julia Roos. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Coast Guard.
Lindley was preceded in death by his first wife Roberta, his second wife Dorris, and one son Daniel Roos.
He is survived by seven children James Roos, Guy Roos, Julia Roos, Susan Comparoto, William Detrick, Stanley Detrick and Nancy Lawson. And by many grandchildren and great grand children.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield. Visitation will be one hour prior from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Burial with full military honors will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield, Missouri
