What a wonderful man he was. Always had a smile and greeted you like he really liked you. I will miss him very much. I am so blessed to have crossed paths with him. I hope to hear him sing again one day in heaven. Very talented and well liked man. So glad to have met him. Just can't say enough good things about this man. He will be greatly missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting "Rooster" many moons ago, when The Platters were at Mutton Hollow in Branson. I was extremely honored to have him part as of our team with the Branson Independent Coalition of Musicians and Artists in bringing Community Radio to the Ozarks, and in preserving Independent music. Along with his talents, his friendship and willingness to help will sorely be missed.
Not only was Rooster a wonderful entertainer, he was very nice gentleman. Every time I was in town and came to a show or cross paths, he would always say happily, "Sweetheart, you're back!" and we would chat for a bit and catch up on time. I will always remember him.
We have been following the Platters for the past 12 years. We remember Rooster for his endearing "There's my baby doll" to my Down's daughter Andrea. I so loved his specialty song "Kansas City" and have a collection of roses. I will never forget the time he handed a rose to one of the guys in the audience - he couldn't finish the song. We will miss him endlessly.
