Condolences

Condolence From: Deanna Wright
Condolence: Although it has been many years since we have been an active part of each others' lives, Richard will always hold a special place in my heart. He was one of the funniest and most kind hearted people I have ever known. I hope to meet up again with him sometime...so we can continue where we left off. The world seems shrunken somehow now that he is gone.

Condolence: I will miss you my friend.
We traded bad jokes, and had good times.
My heart is broken now that your gone.
We will meet in ValHalla.

Condolence: Rest in peace my special brother.

’Twas in another lifetime, one of toil and blood
When blackness was a virtue and the road was full of mud
I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm”

And if I pass this way again, you can rest assured
I’ll always do my best for her, on that I give my word
In a world of steel-eyed death, and men who are fighting to be warm
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm”

Not a word was spoke between us, there was little risk involved
Everything up to that point had been left unresolved
Try imagining a place where it’s always safe and warm
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm”

I was burned out from exhaustion, buried in the hail
Poisoned in the bushes an’ blown out on the trail
Hunted like a crocodile, ravaged in the corn
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm”

Condolence From: Simon Maxwell
Condolence: I will always remember Richard flinging those Tiny Torpedoes from the back of his Jon boat, usually followed by a stop at the nearest sandbar so he could throw rocks that Emmett could dive for. His gentle soul and dry wit were an important and memorable part of my first float trips. I know he is now resting and at peace. My sincerest condolences to the entire family.
