Message: I remember Lily as a kind a sweet woman, who even when I was no longer a part of her family, treated me as if I still was. She befriended my grandparents, and it felt good to hear them talking to one another. She always had a kind word to say to me, but did not mince words when I needed to corrected, but even then it was still in a pleasant but firm way. She is a grand lady and she will be sorely missed.

Message: Even strangers loved and revered my grandmother. With her passing, she has been reunited with her son and husband, who were her life and her everything. My grandmother was an inspiration to me from my earliest memories, and she remains one of my greatest heroes. Her example helped to make me into the generous, creative, and strong person that I am today, and helped to foster my love of learning. From her I got my passions for healing, music, proper manners, religious study, and cooking. I paid back in full every loan she ever gave me, and I only wish I had been able to give her more of myself and my time in her final years. I will be forever grateful to her, and blessed to have been able to have such a truly phenomenal woman in my life.
