Wilma Davis

Wilma Lee (Pigg) Davis of Springfield was born March 28, 1927 in Pine, MO and passed away December 14, 2011. She was the daughter of George and Ollye (Gibson) Pigg. Wilma married Milborn Fay Davis on December 23, 1946 and to this union four daughters were born.

Fay and Wilma enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling the US and parts of Europe before his death in June, 1998. Wilma also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and was an avid reader. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and attended Hamlin Memorial Baptist for many years.

Survivors include Wanda Cavin Parrett, Vonna Selvin, Sharon (Steve) Rone and Janice (John) Marks, all of Springfield; fifteen grandchildren, and forty-five great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers; Lester Pigg of Hawks Point, MO and Kenneth Pigg of St. Charles, MO, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty two years, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 19, 2011 in Hamlin Memorial Baptist Church with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2011 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hamlin Memorial Baptist Church.
