Dad loved baseball, crossword puzzles, movies, music and books. He loved to tinker and was even making birdhouses shortly before his death. He embraced all things new, mastering the computer and the cell phone that kept him in touch with his family. Although a combat veteran serving in the South Pacific in WWII aboard the USS Salt Lake City, he rarely discussed his role in the war but freely let his political opinions be known. He had nicknames for everyone that stuck regardless of age. He was proud of his family and their accomplishments.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday April 25, 2009 in St. Agnes Cathedral. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
