William Nelson
William Emmanuel Nelson, 69, Springfield, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2006, in Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born January 6, 1937 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Emmanuel and Genevieve (Felzer) Nelson.
William is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathleen Nelson; his sons, Rob Nelson, and his wife Michelle, and Dan Nelson; his granddaughter, Whitney Nelson; his brothers, Dick Nelson, and his wife Jean, Tom Nelson, and his wife Fran, and Ron Nelson, and his wife Kathy; his mother-in-law, Miranda Dobrick; his brothers-in-law, Bob Dobrick and his wife Jill, and John Dobrick; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Lewis E. Hejna, celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut.
Memorial visitation will be from 6 - 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with prayer services starting at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospices of America, 1465 E. Primrose, Suite A, Springfield, MO 65804.
