William Mays

William Franklin “Will” Mays, Jr, was born in Springfield, Mo., on February 5, 1980, to William Mays, Sr, and Wanda (Maupin) Mays, and passed from this life on February 22, 2016, in Taney County, Missouri.
Will attended High School in Republic, Missouri and worked with his father in his lawn service. He worked many different jobs over the years, he was a very hard worker and had a positive attitude about his future.
Will’s hobbies included camping, fishing and loved to make phone calls. His friends called him “The Gentle Giant” due to his size and weight.
Will was preceded in death by his father, Williams Sr. He is survived by his mother, Wanda Maupin of Bolivar, sisters, Billie Sue Mays, Urbana, Missouri and Francis Marie Mays, Hermitage, Missouri, aunts and uncles, Marilyn Maupin, Bolivar, James and Barbara Mays, Springfield, and Lane and Mary Mays, Florida.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday July 27, 2016 the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home with Chaplain Larry Cooper officiating.
