William (Bill) Albert DeMoss, 54, Springfield, passed away Monday, October 24, 2005 in his home.
Bill was the youngest of 6 children, born March 20, 1951 to Chloris and Gladys (Shoemaker) DeMoss in Nevada, Missouri. He grew up in LaCygne, KS where he attended elementary and high school. He graduated LaCygne High School in 1969. Bill attended Pittsburgh State University in Pittsburgh, KS, graduating in 1973 with a degree in teaching. After graduating college he moved to Bradenton, Florida for several years where he worked at a hospital in the inservice department. He also hosted an educational TV show. He returned to Kansas where he worked at the Osawatomie State Hospital for a brief time before moving to Springfield, Missouri. In Springfield, he met and married Jill, which ended in divorce. He became disabled due to health issues.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a brother-in-law.
He is survived by his two brothers, Jack DeMoss, of Parker, KS; and Jim DeMoss of Kansas; his sister, Carol Lynn of Osawatomie, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
