William Bruce Willford

William Bruce Willford, age 77, of Kimberling City, Missouri, lost his fight with cancer on Thursday, June 16, 2010, while hospitalized in Springfield. Bruce was born on Feb. 26, 1933, in Canton, Minn., to Ward E. and Ethel I. (Reed) Willford. Bruce retired from the telephony industry after years of service in sales. He was an avid hunter, fisher and skilled gunsmith. His hobbies included photography, woodworking and genealogy. He is preceded in death by his parents Ward and Ethel and one brother, Gary. He is survived by his brother, Wayne, of Lampe, Mo.; four children, Michelle, Lake City, Minn.,; Laurie, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Kelley, Gulf Shores, Ala; Michael, Rock Springs, Wyo.; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family asks in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
