William Bressler

William Duane Bressler, a fun-loving and dedicated family man, better known as Bill, was called to heaven March 21, 2015, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, from complications involving Alzheimer’s.

Born on February 16, 1947, in Michigan, Bill graduated from Adrian High School and enlisted into the Navy in 1966. Stationed on the USS Kearsarge, he loved being in the Orient. Bill & Carol married on July 4, 1969 and he proceeded to dedicate his life to his family providing all comforts and adventures affordable with much love and generosity. Following his enlistment, Bill worked for and retired from Bell System in 1991. Bill and Carol moved to Mt. Vernon MO in 1993.

Bill will be greatly missed and is survived by; his wife, Carol Bressler. Sons; Sean Bressler (Ginger), Steven Bressler (Bernadette), and Jason Bressler (Erika). Grandchildren; Erik Bressler (Staci), Keith Bressler, Paul Bressler, Felise Bressler. Brothers; Joe, Larry, Rodney along with many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are provided by Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 W Walnut, Springfield, MO 65806.

The funeral services are on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 11:00 am, at First United Methodist Church, 621 West Sloan, Mount Vernon MO. Committal services are on Monday, March 30, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO.
