Wanda Jean Lyman Taylor arrived on this earth on July 1, 1930 and departed on March 31, 2011 at 9:50 a.m. Wanda was the daughter of Jay Asa and Jessie Jewel Copeland Lyman, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Aldrich High School and a life long resident of Aldrich, Missouri.
Wanda worked many years in the mobile home business where she won top dealer for Skyline Mobile Homes five years in a row, and the million dollar cup for sales. She was also in insurance sales and in 1979 she received the president's cup for one million dollar sales in policies and premiums. She loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing and hunting. Wanda was "genuine" one-hundred percent of the time; true to herself and her beliefs without any pretension.
Wanda was preceded in death by two brothers, Jay and Frank Lyman, and one son, Steven Eugene Mygatt. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Lee Taylor and son-in-law William of Bolivar, Missouri; son, Lyman Chris Taylor of the home; daughter-in-law, Beverly Mygatt of Bolivar; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Leah Adcock, Patricia Harris, both of Bolivar, John Overmeyer, and Melissa Blanton and husband Bobby, of Halfway. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren: McKenzie and Devin Harris of Bolivar, Eshia and Hunter Blanton of Halfway; two sisters-in-law, Annabel Lyman and Dean Courtney; three nieces and one nephew; her life-long friend, Bill Mitchell; and many, many friends too numerous to mention.
A celebration of Wanda's life will be held April 8, 2011, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Aldrich Methodist Church, Aldrich, Missouri, Sylvia Ireland officiating. Music selections will be, Farther Along, Blessed Jesus Hold My Hand, Standing On The Solid Rock, It Is Well With My Soul, and Amazing Grace, to be performed by Jannette Graves, Rona Sukovaty, and Chris Taylor, with congregation singing Amazing Grace. Dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. for friends and family. Graveside services will be Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Aldrich, Missouri, Fletcher Neal officiating.
