Wanda Lea Sharp, 78, Springfield, MO passed away September 6, 2009 at 4:40 pm after a long illness.
Wanda was born in Centerville, IA to Aura and Loma Hungate on March 11, 1931.
She was a bowler and long-time employee of Sunshine Lanes Bowling Center as snack bar manager. She was a resident of Mercy Villa Nursing Home, where she enjoyed brandishing her water gun. She loved playing bingo, going fishing and had a windowsill full of Christmas Cacti.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harold, her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and her grandson Kyle Lenox.
She is survived by her 5 children, David Sharp and his wife Becky of Bridge City, TX, Linda Lenox, Peggy Wall and her husband Jerry, Debbie Iseminger and her husband Ron and Ginny McNabb, all of Springfield; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, one sister, Aileen Pollock of Tulsa, OK and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009. in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street with Rev. Fred Royer officiating. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm Tuesday, September 8th in the funeral home.
