Walter Williams

Walter Wade Williams
April 23, 1953 - April 8, 2013

On April 8, 2012 Walter Williams passed away in his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Micki; four children: Amanda (Mike) Worthington, Brandon (Megan) Schoenfeldt, Joshua Williams and Kathryn (Joe) Warren; two daughter-in-laws: Kim Schoenfeldt and Kydall Kornbrust; eight grandchildren; three sisters: Patricia (Joe) Terrell, Karen Williams, Robin (Kem) Mills; several nieces and nephews and his beloved pals Maize Lee and Jasper Lyn.

You will be remembered by our family and friends as a warrior who always fought the good fight until the fight was done. You went out on your own terms and at precisely the moment you decided. You were stubborn like that! OORAH!!

You were the kind of man that always gave the shirt off of your back (figuratively and literally) to someone in need. You always listened to other people's problems (even strangers) and tried to help them overcome them. You were a profound thinker and listener. You taught us to adapt, improvise and overcome.

While your sense of humor was pretty dry, you loved to make people laugh and smile. Sometimes your jokes were so lame that we just couldn't keep from laughing at them. Your laughter was infectious! You always seemed to know when we needed a good laugh or cry and you consoled us like no one else could.

Those that really knew you know that you were a wonderful man with a huge heart. You fiercely protected your family all of your life. Your legacy on this earth will never be forgotten. Glad to know you are rockin' it with Jesus and are no longer in any pain! You will be missed by many.

Semper Fidelis, marine!!
