Wallace Owen McLean, 93, Springfield, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 in Cox South Hospital.

He was born August 28, 1917 in Wichita, Kansas to William and Grace (Carrothers) McLean. Wallace served in the US Army during World War II. He was an avid square dancer and had a great talent in wood working.

He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas McLean, and many other family members.

Wallace is survived by his wife, Agnes McLean, of 70 years, 5 months, and 10 days; children, Carolyn Kile, Gerald McLean, Pat Kinlaw, and Jim Schultz; grandchildren, Michelle Helm, Erica McLean, Heidi Cole, Jim Schultz, Jr., Joe Schultz, John Schultz, Anita Kinlaw, and Sarah Murphy; and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 19, 2010 in St. Agnes Cathedral. Burial with military honors will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service Tuesday in the church.
