Virginia Gabriel

Virginia May (Pleake) Gabriel, 96, became an angel in Heaven on November 30, 2018. She was born on June 11, 1922 to Verna and Ethyl Pleake in Hollister, Missouri. She married Harry Gabriel and together they had three children. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Harry Gabriel, daughter Mary Pearman, son in law Terry Pearman, brother Clarence Pleake, and her parents Verna and Ethyl (Savage) Pleake.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Gabriel, her son Vince Gabriel and his wife Susan, granddaughters Julie Fausett and husband Kenny, Shea Haselhorst and husband Brent, Kristen Lawson and husband Tim, and seven great grandchildren, Andrew and Kylie Fausett, Kaitlyn, Madalyn, and Carter Haselhorst, and Timothy and Olivia Lawson and two brothers Clifford and Ford Pleake.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at St. Agnes Cathedral in Springfield. Burial will follow at Springfield National Cemetery at the corner of Glenstone & Seminole in Springfield.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 7pm Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut in Springfield.
