Victoria Antoinette (“Toni”) Taylor died Thursday, February 19, in her home in Springfield. She was 68 years old.
She was born August 17, 1946 to Lee and Peggy Julien in Buffalo, MO.
On May 6, 1965 she married Elmer Taylor. He preceded in death on July 18, 1983.
Known for her great love of children, she spent her life raising her own children and caring for those of others. For the last twenty years, she ran Taylor’s daycare in her home. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bob and John.
She is survived by her daughters Mrs. Jane Aldrich (Kevin) and Mrs. Janette Kirk, by her sons Jason Taylor (Wendy) and Justin Taylor, and by her daughter in law Cathy Taylor. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren: Brianna and Jay Taylor: Alex, Eric, McKenzie, and Jordan Taylor; and Molly, Meg, Lou, Max, Kevin, Betsy and Lucy Aldrich.
She also has a surviving sister, Mrs. Ruth Hays, and several nieces and nephews.
Affectionately known as “Grandma Toni”, she will be greatly missed by her family and those families she was touched over the years.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in St. Agnes Catholic Church under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel with the Rosary at 7 p.m.
Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri.
