Dodie Lowery, age 38, of Springfield, MO, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Barnes Jewish
Hospital. She was born August 4, 1973, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Virgil and Catherine (Wheeler) Grayham. Dodie was a preschool teacher at the Creative Learning Center for several years. She loved spending time with her nephews. Dodie was a loving sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by mother, Catherine Grayham; one nephew, Geoffrey Christopher Daniels, and her biological father, Virgil Grayham. She is survived by eight brothers and sisters, Karen Green of Republic, MO, Debbie Nix and husband Tracy of Lancaster CA, Nathan Huckaby of Orlando, FL, Loretta Cochran of Tampa, FL, Shirley Paul and husband Rex of Orlando, FL, Jeannie Kyser and husband Mike of Mesa AZ, Junior Huckaby and wife Donna of Mesa Az, Wendie Hall of Albertville, AL; five nieces and fourteen nephews; her father, Huck Huckaby and her mother, Sherrie Colombo ; her boyfriend, Raymond LaRue of Potosi, MO and a host of family and friends.
A remembrance gathering will be held at 3 p.m. Friday June 22, 2012 in front of the cave in Doling Park with Pastor B. J. Chapman officiating.
