Van Merrill

Van Matthew Merrill, 87, Springfield, passed away at 1:00 p.m. February 25, 2006 in St. John's Hospital.

He was born September 17, 1918 in Ladonia, Texas to Van and Margaret (Eanes) Merrill.

Van is survived by his wife Joy; five children, Van M. Merrill, Jr., and his wife Bonnie, Linda Lee Sramek, and her husband Dan, Mary M. Anderson, Gayle Ruth Gullans, and her husband Mark, Barbara Ann George, and her husband William; fourteen grandchildren, Steven Sramek, Aaron Sramek, Nathan Sramek, Van M. Merrill, III, Erin Leigh Merrill, Benjamin Anderson, Brian Anderson, and Michael Anderson, Danielle Gullans, David Gullans, and Michael Gullans, Katherine George, Michelle George Stoops, and William George, III; two great grandchildren, Caiden Merrill and Riland Stoops; one sister, Mary Teague, and her husband Dan; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2006 in Nixa Christian Church under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut. Online condolences can be made at www.hhlohmeyer.com.
