Timothy Arthur Lout, 65, Springfield, passed away July 6, 2010 in his home with his family by his side.
Tim was born August 28, 1944 in Red Mountain, CA and grew up in OK. After completing trade school, he worked as a draftsman for Halliburton Co in Duncan, OK. Here he met his wife, Geri.
After theological studies in San Antonio, TX, Tim and Geri moved to the San Francisco Bay area where Tim served as a youth pastor for 2 years in Oakland, CA and then served as pastor for 20 years at Pinole Valley Baptist Church in Pinole, CA. From 1994 to present, Tim and his wife have resided in Springfield, MO. In recent years, Tim greatly supported the Boys and Girls Clubs of Springfield as a Sertoma member.
Tim's passions were his family, music, ministry and enjoying the beauty of God's creation. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde & Thelma and brother Bobby. He is survived by his spouse of 42 years, Geri; son, Todd Lout, and his wife Karena; daughter, Michelle Lout; and his grandchildren, Josiah and Sierra Lout. Tim is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Ann Lout and by his sister, Betty Miller; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorial Services will be conducted at East Sunshine Church of Christ, Springfield, in the Fireside Room at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010. Jerry Lout will officiate.
