Thomas Patrick Mulvihill died on April 14, 20ll in Springfield, Missouri, after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Joseph Mulvihill, his mother Barbara Elizabeth (Lizzie) Mulvihill, and his sister Mary Margaret Seute. He is survived by 2 daughters: Barbara Jo Mulvihill of Salina, Kansas and Eileen Harmon and her husband Robert Harmon of Springfield, Missouri and 3 grandchildren, Alison Harmon, Ian Harmon and his wife, Miranda Huber, and Kevin Harmon.
Thomas was born December 7, 1923 in Durham, Oklahoma. He lived for most of his childhood in Easton, Kansas. He served as a private in the Army during World War II. He graduated from Kansas City Business College and worked as an accounting clerk for many years. He spent most of his adult life in the Kansas City, Missouri and Topeka, Kansas areas. He spent his last three years in Mercy Villa in Springfield, Missouri. Thomas loved to watch sports, especially KU basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and loved to go dancing and travel.
Thomas was a lifetime, faithful Catholic. A Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday April 19, 2011 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Easton, Kansas with burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery in Easton. A rosary service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church.
