Teresa Rose

Teresa Rose Parrish passed away peacefully September 3, 2023 in San Rafael, California at the age of 62. Her Christian faith and the kindhearted care and prayers of many helped her on a difficult road Home.

Teresa was born on August 3, 1961 to Elizabeth Caroll Congleton Parrish and Bernard Paul Parrish Sr. in Findlay, Ohio. She is the second of five siblings. After graduating as a straight A student from Mehlville High School in 1979, Teresa earned an associate degree and office management certificate in California.

Larkspur, California was Teresa’s favorite place. She enthusiastically participated in town hall meetings and community events. She catalogued Marin’s oral history for the Larkspur Library.

Teresa worked with integrity and employed her many talents in office management, care giving to the elderly, assisting and proofreading at a Marin County newspaper and performed clerical work at Draper Farms. She also participated in volunteer work in San Rafael, California.

Dearly beloved daughter and sister, Teresa Rose, will be, especially remembered for her enjoyment of literature, history, horses and nature, as well as, for her enduring sense of humor, optimism, strength, determination, intellect, beauty and love.

Teresa was predeceased by her father, Bernard Paul Parrish Sr., and her grandparents, Dr. James Edmund Congleton, Claudia Elizabeth Cunningham Congleton, Margaret Rose Fitzpatrick and Charles Albert Parrish.

Survived by her mother Elizabeth Caroll Congleton and her siblings Nina Nar Cox, Dr. Bernard Paul Parrish Jr., Holly Elizabeth Meadows and Amy Laurel Dailey.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, MO 65806. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, 4528 W Division St. Springfield, Missouri 65802 with Father Lewis Hejna, officiating.
