Teddie Young, Jr.

Teddie Lee Young, Jr. 43, passed away January 22, 2012 at Cox South Hospital due to a short illness.

He was born September 12, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ted and Shirley (Potts) Young. He attended Glendale High School. He resided in Republic, Missouri with his life partner Dennis Jacobs and with his “little babies” his cats, Barcardi, Blackie and Video.
Ted worked as his house manager and previously delivered flowers and attended bar. He shared his love and passion for his friends and playing Texas Hold Em. Ted made friends easily and kept them for life.

Ted was preceded in death by his father, Ted Lee Young.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his life partner Dennis Jacobs, his mother Shirley Potts, step father Les Potts (Halfway, Missouri), his sisters Brenda (Roy) Morisset (Ozark, Missouri) and Donna (Tim) Crosslin (Killeen, Texas). His nephews, Ben Smith, Sean Bruce, Justin Bruce and Patrick Patterson. His nieces Ashley Patterson and Amanda Patterson Gourley. He had 5 great nieces and nephews. His aunts Betty Monier, Juanita Wilson and Ann Ballord. His uncles Charles Seamster and Alvie Seamster. Along with numerous friends and family over his life time.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 28, 2012 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help pay for Ted’s funeral expenses.
