Tammy Childress

Tammy Diane Childress, 55, passed in her home on March 20th, 2023. She was born January 14th, 1968, in Pella, Iowa to parents Robert Sr. and Patricia Mavis. She attended Cental High School in Springfield, Missouri and graduated in 1986. She was employed by G & W Foods where she enjoyed her time as a traveling supervisor of the bakery and deli department.
Tammy was very passionate about art, baking, collecting rocks, seashells, and coins, and her family and friends. Her grandkids were the joy of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Sr. and Patricia Mavis and her daughter Tiffany Childress.
She was survived by her sister Carolyn and Russell Hoaglin of Springfield, niece Valerie Storz, great nieces Kaylee Rene, Carmen, Aria, and Jahnessa. Brother Randy and Shellee Mavis of Springfield and nieces Avery, Anna, and Abbee and Patrick Posten. Sons Brandon Childress and Kimmy Coffelt of West Plains and Robert and Sarah Childress of Battlefield. Grandchildren Jordyn, Jada, Milli, Zaiden and Raelynn. Stepsons Chad and Cheryl Childress of Ash Grove and Douglas Childress of Springfield.

A memorial visitation will be held at 500 East Walnut at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home on Friday March 31st from 5:00pm-6:30pm.
