Suzanne Colarusso

Suzanne Louise Colarusso was born March 22, 1935 to Lucille (Bock) and Arthur Purcell in Oak Park,
Illinois. Louise passed away on August 13, 2020 in Springfield, MO. She married Robert Young in 1954.
They had three children Donna, Mike, and Diane.

“Lou” loved jewelry and her love of jewelry lead her to a career at Silver Dollar City where she worked
at Two Sisters Jewelry Store. She was employed there for many, many years. She also loved music,
playing the organ and singing. Sometimes while having a conversation with her, she would burst out
singing a song! She loved doing crafts, knitting, crocheting, needle point, and embroidering. She loved
crossword puzzles and 1000-piece puzzles and she even completed them!
She was incredibly adventurous and willing to go exploring anywhere. All her children and her
grandchildren were able to experience many road trips with her. Lou had a great sense of humor and
spending time with her was so very enjoyable! Her family loves her and misses her very much!

Lou is survived by her children: Donna Buckner (Doug Buckner), Michael Young (Lisa Young), Diane
Hoy (Daniel Hoy). Grandchildren: Jessica Flagg (Paul Flagg), Justin Buckner, Cayla Young (Cody
Stanford), Annalee Penner (Trevor Penner), Kalle Schaeffer (Robert Schaeffer). Great-grandchildren:
Aspen Flagg and Hudson Penner.
