Steven C. Gontko, 58 Formerly of Saginaw, MI Passed unexpectedly on March 5, 2019 from congestive heart failure.

Born April 26, 1960 in Wiesbaden, Germany, predeceased by Joan Gontko (Ciaciuch) and Stanley Gontko, Jr., Attended Dwight D. Eisenhower and Oakland University, resided in Beaverton, MI, Laredo, TX, and Springfield, MO.

Employed by Bragon Inc., Emerson, Flambeau Plastics, Albright Shores Party Store and handled communications for Pro Hockey in TX, He was an avid UM fan, passionate about gardening, nature, animals, and music. With admiration, he was a loving father who raised and adored his daughters, cherished time with his granddaughters and loved his dog, Mia.

Survived by his daughters Naomi Hiromitsu (Satoshi) and Kaylin Kudla(Kam),siblings Lori Hunter (Geoff), and Ryan Gontko (Christine), Granddaughters Kimberly Sage and Kiyomi Hiromitsu, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Steve will be missed and remembered for his kind heart and loving character.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019, at 5:00 pm in Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St., Springfield, Missouri. A funeral service will begin at 6:00 pm, officiated by pastor Gray Nordan.
