Shawn Rosenkrans

Shawn Roger Rosenkrans, age 43, was born on January 26, 1978 in Marshalltown, Iowa.

He and his sister came to live with the Rosenkrans’ when he was just two years old. In June of 1984, they became officially part of the Rosenkrans Family. He went to school at Eldora-New Providence Schools and graduated from Christian Liberty Academy in 1997. As a teen, he worked locally at detasseling in the Eldora area. After Graduation, he moved to Springfield, Missouri. He worked at various locations around the Springfield area, including Sutherlands, SRC, and most recently driving for Tipton Hay Farms. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved John Deere.

Shawn became ill mid-July of 2021, was admitted to Cox South Covid Unit about a week later. He passed away on August 2nd after a brief illness, surrounded by his loved ones.

Shawn is survived by his parents, Fred and Sandy Rosenkrans of Springfield, MO.; two brothers, David of Rogers, AR and Mark of Springfield, MO.; three sisters, Shannon (Earl) Capps of Virginia Beach, VA and Yvonne (Jesse) Galloway of Springfield, MO., Virginia (Dale) Miller of Williamsburg, Virginia; along with his son, Tyler of Oklahoma City; many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Memorial services will be at 11 am Saturday August 21, 2021 in Battlefield Assembly of God Church 5154 S. State HWY FF Battlefield, MO 65619. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service in the church.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri.
