Sally Mezzacapa

My Lovely Wife and Best Friend, Sally Sue "Birren" Mezzacapa, 32, of Springfield passed away at 5:07 p.m. Thursday Aug. 30, 2007 in UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, Calif.

Sally was born Jan. 23, 1975 to Jerome and Susan (Carpenter) Birren. She was preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Jamie Owens, Jeri Alice Birren and infant sister Gloria Birren.

Sally is survived by her husband, Daniel Mezzacapa of the home; her three step-children, Ryan Dominick, Jacob Daniel and Sidney Marie Mezzacapa of the home; her father, Jerome Allan Patrick Birren of Lebanon, Mo.; her mother, Susan Yvonne Cammarano and her husband, Joe of North Port, Florida; her four siblings, Amy Schatz of Stoutland, Mo., Melissa Hoffman and husband, Jon of Poway, Calif., Patricia Marquez and husband, Evaristo of Nixa, Mo. and Sean Birren of Oceanside, Calif.; her grandparents, Kenneth and Gloria Carpenter, Delores Galvan and Delores Edwards, her mother and father-in-law, James L. and Dorothea C. Mezzacapa; her eight brothers & sisters-in-law, James E. Mezzacapa, Tammy Wiemken, Teresa Jennings, Edward M. Mezzacapa, Thomas A. Mezzacapa, Eugene C. Mezzacapa, Andrew J. Mezzacapa and Henry J. Mezzacapa; several aunts, uncles and cousins, 30 nephews and nieces, a great niece and a great nephew and many friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday Sept. 6, 2007 in St. Joseph Catholic Church 1115 N. Campbell Springfield, Mo. with Father Denis Dougherty O.S.B. celebrant followed by a visitation from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut St. Springfield, Mo. A second Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lebanon, Mo. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass in Lebanon. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Lebanon, Mo.
