Ruth D. Nix, 87 of Springfield passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 in her home in Springfield, MO.
Ruth was born January 11, 1922 in Ft. Wayne, IN., to Everett and Anna (Schleinkofer) Miller. She was a homemaker and an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard C. Nix; and her brother, Russell Miller. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, David and Lee Nix of Pendleton, IN., Gregory and Jean Nix of Ft. Wayne, IN., Beverly and Ken Willis of Brookline, MO., and Annette and Joe Stockard of Springfield; six grandchildren, Suzanne, Colleen and Elizabeth Nix, Ryan and Julia Stockard, and Stacey Clawson; and her longtime faithful friend, Jean Stokke.
Funeral mass and burial services were held Wednesday in Ft. Wayne, IN.
