Ruth Bobbitt

Ruth Bobbitt, 80, San Antonio Texas, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2006 at North Central Baptist Hospital, in San Antonio,Texas. Ruth was a homemaker and member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Francis Higgins and Anna Helen Higgins; a daughter, Sandra Sue Bobbitt; three brothers, Lawrence Higgins, James Higgins, and Robert Higgins; and two sisters, Alice Brandenburg and Margaret Philpott. Survivors include her husband, Louis; a daughter, Mary Smallen and son-in-law Wade, Stilwell Oklahoma; four sisters, Katherine Lang, Cohoes, N.Y., Mary Barrett, Colorado Springs, Colo., Agnes Richardson, Strafford, and Helen Emry, Las Vegas, Nev.; two grandchildren, Patrick Ware, and Justin Smallen,; two step-grandchildren, Jeff Smallen and Kim Thornton; two great-grandchildren, Brennan Ware and Jenna Ware; and one step-great-granddaughter, Lauren Smallen; nine nephews; three nieces, and other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Marshfield with Fr. Michael Casteel celebrant. Interment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery, Springfield. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006 in the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, with visitation to follow.
