Ruth Bigger

Ruth Eleanor Bigger, 73, Springfield, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 in her home. She was born April 13, 1935 in Niantic, Illinois to Edwin and Helen Sanders. Ruth retired from State Farm Insurance after 43 years. She and Don enjoyed fishing, dancing and loved to travel.

She was preceded in death by parents and a brother, Everett. Mrs. Bigger is survived by her husband, Donald; two children, Mark Bigger of Lafayette, Ind., and Valerie Wolfe and husband, Charles of Ozark, Mo.; two grandchildren, Alexander and Zachary Wolfe; nine siblings, Pearl Flickinger, Milton Sanders, and Paul Sanders all of Columbia, Mo., Sharon Johnson of Malabar, Fla. , Dorothy Hoard of Springfield, Ill., Edward Sanders of Bloomington, Ill., Delores Zimmerman of Mackinaw, Ill., Sandra Braden, and Marilyn Boyd both of Bloomington, Ill;and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Monsignor Thomas Reidy, celebrant , under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut. Visitation will be preceding the funeral from 10 - 11:00 a.m. Friday in the church.
