Rudy Reeves

Rudy Reeves was born on April 14,1947 in Thayer, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Reeves; mother, Joyce Rogers; and sister, Earlene Simmons.

He attended Thayer High School and graduated in 1965. After which, he proudly served in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Rudy loved and lived life to the fullest and enjoyed what life had to offer. He loved to dance and sing. You could find him most nights at a local karaoke club, for open-mic-night, singing his heart out. He always had a smile on his face and never failed to offer a helping hand when needed. He was a generous and kind man who cherished his family and friends.

He was the dad who loved freely and was always there by our sides. He gave us love and support without asking for anything in return. His was the unconditional love of a parent and he will be greatly missed.

Rudy is survived by his daughter, Rachel Stone; her husband, Geoff; and their children, Austin and Dakota. Daughter, Kristine Carlile; her husband, Chris; and their children, Caleb and Camron; and his son, Joel Boles.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan 27, 2022, from 11:00am - 12-:30pm at the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:00pm in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road in Springfield, Missouri.
