Ronald Rust

Ronald E. Rust, 73, Springfield, Missouri passed away during a peaceful rest at home on September 27th, 2021.

He was born November 25th, 1947 in California, Missouri to Glen and Violet Rust. He graduated from Ash Grove High School and later served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Albany during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

Ron enjoyed playing a variety of instruments, especially the saxophone. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, traveling, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Joe Rust.

He is survived by his mother, his brothers, Troy, Danny, and Tom; his wife, Dana Rust; his children, Travis Rust, Jennifer Williams, Natalie Renfro, Ronnie Rust, and Katie Rust; and his grandchildren, Ally, Blake, Cody, Kally, Hoyt, Cooper, Gracie, Eden, Isaiah, Ezra and a baby boy due December, 2021.

A celebration of Ron’s life will take place at 10:00 am on October 4th, 2021 at the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri.
