Ronald (Ron) Mosley
Ron was born August 26, 1942 in St Louis, Missouri to Harold and Lucille Mosley. He was called home on July 27, 2020 at the age of 77.
His early years were spent in East St Louis, Illinois where his Grandfather owned and operated an Icehouse and coal yard. Ron worked there until he was 16. Later the family moved to Detroit where he attended Nativity Our Lord High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy serving his country in the Viet Nam war as a Naval Seaman E3. Upon receiving an honorable discharge his love for driving began with AC Transit Bus Company in Oakland CA. Due to a major bus strike Ron started driving for Trailways Bus Line out of the city onto the open road and state to state. He always longed to own and operate his own truck eventually landed his dream career at Prime Inc. Trucking company in Springfield, MO. Ron started driving for Prime April of 1990 and moved to the In-House side with Prime in December of 2011. He worked there until February 2020 reaching many milestones, award recipient 25 years of service in 2010.
Ron was an active member at West Republic Baptist Church in Billings, MO where he loved food and fellowship talking with other believers and sharing stories. He always brought donuts for breakfast and sub sandwiches for Sunday dinner.
He enjoyed watching football, playing lotto, driving his rig, church, family, and always smiling and always willing to help anyone. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Preceding Ron in death his parents Lucille Robinson and Harold Mosley. Ron leaves to cherish his memories his daughter Dawn Mosley- Pryor of Richmond, California and sister Phyllis Welch of Phoenix, AZ, and a host of nieces, nephews too great to name.
Viewing will be available at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home Saturday August 15, 2020 10:00 am –12:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony conducted by Dr. Christopher Beck – Pastor of West Republic Baptist Church
