Roger was born December 13,1941 in Perryville, Missouri, beloved son of the late Arnold and Olinda Boehme. He was a graduate of Perryville High School, attended Radiology x-ray school and completed a Nuclear Medicine Program. He enlisted in the Navy in 1961, after sonar training he was aboard the USS Grampus. He retired from the Naval reserves after serving twenty years.

He married Marilyn Louise Hilpert Boehme December 23, 1962 in Perryville, Missouri, she resides in her Battlefield, Missouri home. Mr. Boehme worked and retired from the John J. Pershing Veterans Hospital in Poplar Bluff Missouri, where he was a nuclear medicine technician. He took pride in his job and the patients he cared for throughout his many years in the hospital.

June 11, 1967, they welcomed their first child, a daughter Laura Ann Boehme, she preceded him in death. On September 18,1972, they welcomed son Shawn David Boehme. Shawn married Michelle Griffy in 1993. They reside in Springfield with their two children, son Derrick and daughter, Jordan.

Roger was a loving son and brother and enjoyed his nearly 62 year marriage with Marilyn even though the last few years had been different, their many camping and boating trips, travels in general, fishing, gardening, cards, and the many places his naval career took him. He found pleasure being a father and spending time with his grandchildren, playing and introducing them to the outdoors and being proud of their accomplishments. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church while living in Poplar Bluff and transferred to Redeemer Lutheran of Springfield. Roger also worked in the Kroger meat department and Mark Twain Nursing homes during his working career
