Robert Thomsen

Mr. Robert E. Thomsen, 68, of Jacksonville passed away on March 21, 2006. He was born in Fremont, NE and moved to Jacksonville from Chicago, IL in 1988. Mr. Thomsen retired from CNA Insurance Company and was an insurance claims adjuster. He was honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1962 and was an avid golfer.

Mr. Thomsen is survived by his son, Robert E. Thomsen, Jr.; daughter, Renee Marie Thomsen Defnet; brothers, Orville, Tom & Mike; sister, Sharon; grandchildren, Hailey, Trace, Jake & Holly; mother, Lucille M. Murray Thomsen and many nieces & nephews.

Bob will be missed by family and friends. We are thankful he is at peace with the Lord. He will always be near our hearts and minds.

A viewing will be from 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd Jacksonville, Florida.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday April 3, 2006 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, MO 65806. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Springfield. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday in the funeral home.
