Robert L. Pettegrew, 82, Republic passed away at his home on Wednesday July 1, 2009.
He was born November 5, 1926 in Afton, Iowa to Glenn and Gladys (Herrick) Pettegrew. Robert retired from the US Air Force on March 1, 1968. He worked for the cities of Omaha, Nebraska, Creston, Iowa and Springfield, Missouri.
Robert is survived by his wife, Velma Pettegrew; his daughter, Linda Millsap; his grandchildren, Sean Dronick and Nikki Millsap; his nephews Rick and Randy Pettegrew; his great-grandson, Bradley Yandell; and his great grand-dog, Little One.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday July 6, 2009 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday July 7, 2009 in the funeral home.
Memorial graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday July 10, 2009 in Springfield National Cemetery, 1702 E. Seminole Springfield, MO 65804.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Hospice in honor of Robert Pettegrew, 1378 E. Republic Rd. Springfield, MO 65804.
