Robert Lee Finch, 80, Billings, passed away at 8:28 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007 in Cox Hospital South.
He was born June 24, 1927 in Decatur, Illinois to George and Emma (Durbin) Finch. He lived there until moving to Nixa and Billings during the last 10 years of his life. Mr. Finch served in the U.S. Army during World War II and married Helen Smith on December 26, 1945.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John; a sister, Pauline; and a granddaughter, Angie.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters, Karen Sue Reinhart and husband Dennis, Decatur, IL, and Nancy Wells and husband Larry, Billings, MO; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Finch, Jr. and wife Charlene, and Jerry Finch and wife Gladys, of Decatur.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 3, 2007 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church with Monsignor Thomas Reidy, celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Billings, Missouri, under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut.
Visitation will be from 2 - 3 p.m. Sunday in the church with prayer service starting at 3:00 p.m.
Robert was a faithful member of the church. He was anybody's friend and always ready to help.
