Ricky Williams

Ricky Edward Williams, age 54, our loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend, went to heaven on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. He died peacefully in his sleep at home.

Ricky was married to his best friend Karen for 30 years. The love of his family came first followed closely by the love of being in the wind on his motorcycle.

Ricky was a talented painter who painted in some of the most prestigious homes in Springfield.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Karen; a son, A.J. Wampler; a granddaughter, Kendra; a Godson, Josiah Webb; a brother, Chuck and Karen Williams, five sisters, Gary & Darlene Corwin, David & Stella Hess, Dudley & Della Ireland, Shirley Sandlin, and Dennis & Leola Betz. One brother, Elbert “Bib” Williams, preceded him in death. Ricky was blessed with many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday August 15, 2011 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with military honors under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. A memorial motorcycle ride will also be held later this month.
