To all who knew him we hope this poem describes him best:
Integrity and strength, a man short, but stood tall. The trials and tribulations, he made it through it all.
He fought for his country, he survived Uncle Sam. He once died on the table, But God had a different plan.
He'd give you the shirt off his back, or cookies he'd baked. Finding joy who all knew him, through the comments he'd make.
To my dear family and friends, to mention last but not least. I'm taking care of your animals, at the grace of God's feet.
Richard made an Anatomical gift of his eyes to the Lyon's Club, of Springfield. His bones and skin were donated at the request of his daughter, to St. Jude's Hospital.
