Richard Tuckness

Richard A. Tuckness "Papa" 91, passed away January 6, 2010 in Christian Health Care West.

Richard was born April 5, 1919 in Springfield Missouri to Jess and Fannie (Justice) Tuckness. He was a graduate of Springfield High School, and retired from the railroad.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Thomas Tuckness, of Springfield. He is survived by siblings, Alma Stiles and Beech Tuckness; three sons, Richard Tuckness, Jr. of Prescott, Arizona, James Tuckness and wife Sadie of Springfield and John Tuckness of Topeka, Kansas; grandchildren, Terri Young, Annie Sikes, Christopher Tuckness, Jessica Hyder, David Kenton, and Rachael Adams; great grandchildren: Nicole Mitchell, Jessica Adams, Jamie Nixdorf, and Paige Sikes.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday in the funeral home with Father Michael McDevitt officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
