Richard Swanson

Richard Mark "Rick" Swanson, 57, a resident of Springfield, MO since 1991+, passed away on March 13, 2010 after a short illness. Rick was born in Omaha, NE on July 1, 1952 to Doris Jane (D.J.) Manifold and Carroll (Carl) Swanson. He is survived by his wife, Shea and his daughter, Heather Renee. Rick was one of six children born to D.J. and Carl Swanson. His siblings include Bob (Kerrie) Swanson of Lakeside, AZ; Laurie (Dave) Krchmery of Phoenix, AZ; Jon Swanson of Gilbert, AZ; Nancy (Terry) Howard of Phoenix, AZ; and Peggy (Ron) Phillips of Peoria, AZ.



Rick was extremely talented in woodworking, art and literature. Rick was a very loyal and loving husband and took great pride in his precious daughter, Heather. Rick's pride and joy was his motorcycle which he enjoyed riding in the great Ozark mountains. Rick will truly be missed by his friends and family.

His celebration of life will be held at the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home on Sunday, March 28, 2010, between the hours of 5-7 p.m.
